Civility Amongst American Political Classes a Rarity, However when Working Class Americans Work Together with General Strikes That is when Quality of Life Improves ~ Socrates Circa Today ~ Thursday October 4th 2018

After 25 years of observing American politics first as a young adult, then as an adult, I would say there is much logical preponderance of evidence, that unless a generation to two generations of Americans are struck and damaged collectively by a major societal crisis, such as a world war, and an economic depression as the World War 2 Civic generation, as well as generation preceding that which was born from 1895 to 1920, who pushed the Socialist Party agenda of Eugene Debs into the mainstream of the Democratic Party in the 1930’s, with the passage of the New Deal during that decade, political civility of the political classes, is a rare commodity like ice cream sold out in the arctic lands , or electric cars sold in coal producing regions. It is rare.

Following WW2 until the late 1980s much of the US Congress was in the control of the generation that was born from 1920 to 1945. Their shared sacrifice of watching parents, as well as themselves survive and seek to endure wars, as well as economic unemployment and hardships, brought a sense of shared sacrifice as well as shared seeking of wisdom as well as solutions, from both the left and the right on the problems as well as issues of the day, brought forth additional bipartisanship that maybe had not been seen in the United States since the Revolutionary War, as well as the Constitutional Convention as times of such productive bipartisanship and shared logical, respectful, productive power sharing is not common in American politics.

In the Opinion Editorial of former Nebraska Republican Governor David Heineman, with Mike Beebe a former Democratic Governor of Arkansas, entitled “Future Depends on Working Together” together they site , the Presidential election of 1800, where John Adams campaign supporters, through the Connecticut Courant newspaper said about Thomas Jefferson, that the United States would become a nation where, “murder, robbery, rape, adultery and incest will openly be taught and practiced.”

Jefferson’s campaign team accused Adams of being a “gross hypocrite” and “one of the most egregious fools on the continent.”

The two bipartisan Governors make the wise observation that, “contrary to the common cries of “It’s never been worse,” politics has always been personal, passionate and contentious. The vitriol we experience today is hardly unique to present day America.”

Besides limited enrollment Advanced Placement (AP) , courses in many but not all high schools, since the mid 1960’s in the United States, United States civics courses have NOT been required to obtain your high school diploma. This is something that is just beginning to be remedied across the United States.

However at most colleges for Associate of Arts degrees, as well as Bachelors Degrees, an American Government class is not required to graduate with your college degree . These laws MUST BE CHANGED, requiring American government, as well as Labor Movement History in Government courses, so BOTH sides of the history of America, both the property owner and banking classes history, as well as the Socialist as well as Labor movements history may be REQUIRED learnings for High School through College graduates, so that a true balanced understanding of how historical changes in the United States occurs, may be better understood by the younger generations, that are learning growing and seeking to contribute to the American story which is ALWAYS in progress.

The two wise former Governors, go onto document that, “Many Americans are justifiably troubled; a recent poll by Quinnipiac University found that 91 percent of Americans view the lack of civility in politics as a serious problem. And it is undoubtedly true that disgust with the state of politics, discourages some citizens from engaging in the political process, whether by performing public services running for office, or even simply voting.”

I see observationally occurring, this as a lack of governmental mindedness, is due to the lack of civics in the classrooms, as well as the lack of parents encouraging an interest of their children in governance issues as well as political volunteerism, which is a hallmark of how things are changed in American history, its peoples movements that change America, not electing the “right” mixture of politicians to elected office. This is evidentiarily documented, in the VERY good book, From the Folks Who Brought You the Weekend , a VERY good book for American Peoples seeking the REAL truth, about the United States, with a book group edited by a group of wise historians, and published by a non profit press.

Also not mentioned in the Op Ed, is the “American” educational system. In this country we ARE NOT under an American educational model. Since the 1920’s in the US, our young people have been indoctrinated and molded, by the Prussian Public School system model, which was first at a national level put in place in Germany, 90 years before Hitler with the Nazi Party was placed into power by the peoples of Germany .

This school system is DESIGNED to produce peoples whose growth is stunted at a 10 to 18 year old level of intellectual and emotional development, while producing, people who are trained to appeal to authority and follow orders, peoples who are also trained to be life long employees, as well as mold people to be dulled of their intellectual curiosity, as well as deprived of their logical dialoging , and critical thinking skills. So ultimately we are observing a designed systems failure of our educational system, that will not change, until the American peoples work together and DEMAND real educational solutions, such as Montesorri as well as Waldorf educational learning systems, which encourage and bring forth the balanced intellectual, and emotional development of each individual, bringing forth the learnings, with environments that build balanced ever growing individivuals, whose growth is not stunted by inadequate systems, where the failure of developing a balanced individual is built into the educational systems design.

This is logically, evidentiarily documented in John Taylor Gattos book, Weapons of Mass Destruction. He is an award winning now retired New York City and State award winning, former public school educator .

Tragedys such as the Parkland and Columbine shootings, just to name a few, are NOT by accident, but are by products of the alienation, that the Prussian Public School system structure, IS DESIGNED to bring forth.

What we have in America today is a passive peoples. Voting is the equivalent to filling up the gas tank of your car, meaning this is the bare minimum that a person can do to be involved in governance. I have experienced the courts system on several occasions stifle, and end peaceful peoples initiative and referendum processes, as well as the disenfranchisement of the Reform Party movement, done through the US courts system, and corrupt judges .

Our system is really not designed to listen to the people, unless their are general strikes with a shutdown of the economy, to then bring forth legislative change, with the associated changing of specific laws.

In the Blacks Law Dictionary which anyone with the tools of formal logic applied, can decipher and comprehend it , a republic is actually a “commonwealth” .

Here is the Blacks Law Dictionary definition of Commonwealth, What is COMMONWEALTH?

The public or common weal or welfare. This cannot be regarded as a technical term of public law, though often used in political science. It generally designates, when so employed, a republican frame of government, Source, https://thelawdictionary.org/commonwealth/ .

Here is that dictionaries definition of Welfare, What is WELFARE?

1. Resources and conditions needed for healthy and comfortable living. 2. Government support for members of society who are disadvantaged. Source, https://thelawdictionary.org/welfare/ .

Here is what Franklin Roosevelt during his terms in office, as well as the Democratic Socialists in the US today, are advocating for , a Second Bill of Rights , this is from his State of the Union message to Congress from January of 1944,

“We have come to a clear realization of the fact that true individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence. “Necessitous men are not free men.” People who are hungry and out of a job are the stuff of which dictatorships are made.
In our day these economic truths have become accepted as self-evident. We have accepted, so to speak, a second Bill of Rights under which a new basis of security and prosperity can be established for all regardless of station, race, or creed.
Among these are:
The right to a useful and remunerative job in the industries or shops or farms or mines of the Nation;

The right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation;

The right of every farmer to raise and sell his products at a return which will give him and his family a decent living;

The right of every businessman, large and small, to trade in an atmosphere of freedom from unfair competition and domination by monopolies at home or abroad;

The right of every family to a decent home;

The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health;

The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident, and unemployment;

The right to a good education.
All of these rights spell security. And after this war is won we must be prepared to move forward, in the implementation of these rights, to new goals of human happiness and well-being.

America’s own rightful place in the world depends in large part upon how fully these and similar rights have been carried into practice for our citizens. For unless there is security here at home there cannot be lasting peace in the world.”

Source, http://www.fdrlibrary.marist.edu/archives/address_text.html .

With a wealth cap of 150 billion dollars per family, becoming THE LAW in the United States, with the rest of the excess wealth going into a “just enough for all fund” to provide for this Second Bill of Rights, we may have a capitalist social democracy commonwealth that Socialist Eugene Debs, Franklin Roosevelt as well as tens of millions of Americans since the early 20th century have longed for .

This is not that difficult American peoples. Our ancestors practiced general strikes, across most of our states, to achieve the New Deal. We can muster some general strikes, together, to make this happen can’t we??!!

Fahrenheit 11 / 9 film review

By ~ Socrates Circa Today ~

Fahrenheit 11 / 9 is a good documentary, not a great documentary as were his films Roger and Me, Fahrenheit 9 / 11 and Capitalism A Love Story.

However it gets a B plus for effort in MANY of the topics of the day that are explored in the documentary .

There are excerpts from an interview with a Yale professor of history who accurately states “America has NEVER had a democracy.” This is because African Americans as well as other minorities, women have not always had full rights, with some groups still not having full rights, such as women earning less than men at the same jobs .

It is a shame that Mr. Moore doesn’t bring up the lack of the common law in the workplaces in the United States, which is in violation of the Seventh Amendment . Your common law rights enshrined in the 7th Amendment means that your rights are absolute at all times, that is what the common law guarantees.

How would this change our nation and how it can dialogue about the future of the USS United States??!! I will leave that question open ended for the people who read this to dialogue about.

In the documentary Mr. Moore presents statistical evidence that the majority of Americans are socialists . A majority seeks Medicare for all, public financing of education, as well as a variety of other socialist and or social democracy leaning policy initiatives are documented in Mr. Moores documentary.
Here is some of what studybreaks.com had to say about this in their article,

“We are the majority”

“Although, the left-wing activist offered a silver lining, saying that America is now a very liberal country, despite some not preferring the label. Moore found in his research for “11/9” that most Americans want Medicare for all, believe in women’s equality and equal pay, believe in LGBTQ rights, want free public education and so on.”

“The “11/9” director found it amazing how liberal America really is, saying “we are the majority,” not the big banks, not anti-immigration groups, but in those who truly want equal opportunities for all. Moore reminds Americans that despite the right-wing news stations, or even what Trump says himself, “Our choir is much bigger.” “
(Source, https://studybreaks.com/tvfilm/fahrenheit-11-9/ ) (3)

How do we as Americans fund the laundry list of social programs and entitlements that Mr. Moore documents in his documentary besides taxing the working class and the ultra wealthy at a 90 percent rate as was done with the New Deal for decades??!!

We must put a wealth limit on the ultra wealthy of 150 billion dollars, with the rest of those funds going into an “enough for everyone fund” to fund Franklin Roosevelts Second Bill of Rights, which is documented by Michael Moore in his excellent documentary Capitalism A Love Story .

In the film, Moore presents evidence of corporate collusion, in Flint, Michigan, between the Rick Snyder the Republican Governor of Michigan and former President Obama . With subtext showing, that US Presidents are nothing more, than corporate spokespersons.

Gov. Snyder, replaced the glacier fed freshwater supply of water for Flint, from Lake Huron, with water from the Flint River.

This is an excerpt from Deutche Welle the German news stations review of Mr. Moores film,

“To save money, drinking water was drawn from a nearby river in 2014 rather than being piped in from Detroit. It was channeled through old pipes into the city, and the contaminated water combined with lead from the pipes resulted in residents becoming seriously ill.

At least 10 people died of Legionnaires’ disease, likely caused by the contaminated river water, while others suffered from developmental delays as a consequence of the lead poisoning.”

Ongoing crisis

For Moore, the scandal in Flint exemplifies what happens when a government decides that money and power are more important than people. In an interview after the Flint premiere, Moore said the victims must know their deaths weren’t in vain.

Several victims of the drinking water scandal were in the audience at the evening premiere. Their reactions to the film were emotional, as the Detroit Free Press observed.

“At one point, when photos of Flint residents who died from Legionnaires’ disease during the water crisis were shown, one person yelled, “We love you all!,” the paper noted.

Ariana Hawk, the mother of a young boy who was a victim of the lead water crisis, told the daily The Detroit News that she hopes the film will bring the national spotlight back to Flint.

“There are families here who still can’t drink the water, that are still affected by what the water did to them,” she said. “I know, I’m still living it.”

There was fraud committed by Flint Health Officials, in relationship to the contaminated Flint River water, that is lead poisoning the residents of Flint Michigan.  Flint whistleblower April Cook-Hawkins .. Cook-Hawkins, a former employee of the Genesee County Health Department who gives her first on-camera interview to Moore in the film, (Source, https://www.indiewire.com/2018/09/michael-moore-fahrenheit-11-9-premiere-parkland-flint-1202001490/ ) (2)

Moore presents a weak straw man fallacy toward Donald Trump, he insinuates that both Snyder and Trump are were wealthy CEOs with a history of varying levels of corruption as the heads of their companies . Moore does not prove this point very well with the evidence that he presents .

The filmmaker also hints that 9 / 11 was an inside job similar to the Reichtag fire, coordinated by the Nazis, with the voice over of former President Bush, dubbed over video from the aftermath of the Reichtag fire, that occurred in Germany in the 1930s, so Hitlers Nazi Party could gain tighter control over that country, after the First World War, as well as the hyperinflation, that plagued Germany leading up to the Nazis gaining power.

Mr. Moore didn’t connect that the current public school system in the United States, is the Prussian Public school system model that was adopted 90 years prior to the Nazis coming to power in Germany . How peoples of a nation are socialized in a school setting affects their intellectual and emotional development. The Prussian Public School System model keeps those who are over the long term exposed to it, in a 10 to 18 year old level of intellectual and emotional development.

Source, https://www.dw.com/en/fahrenheit-11-9-michael-moores-latest-film-is-a-call-to-action/a-45458833 ) (4)
The film also explores how the Democratic Party establishment, sabotages more radical democratic socialists, and or reformers campaigns .
Also it explores the West Virginia Teachers strike, the origins of the term “red neck”, came from strikers who wore red bandanas during the movements of the early 20th century, that organized for American workers rights . There are many schoolteachers that have to work more than one job, while also helping out some of their students, who may only have one parent.

This is from The New Yorker Magazine ,

“The United States of America is a leftist country.” Various items of evidence are submitted as proof: statistics on health care and welfare; demonstrations in favor of gun control organized in February by survivors of the Parkland school shootings; and, in the same month, the successful strike that was called by teachers in West Virginia.”

By sharing about the leadership corruption against reform, by mainline centerist Democrats, Michael Moore infers with his democratic socialist leaning audience, that reforms must occur within the Democratic Party in order for more of a social democracy of an FDR Bill of Rights direction to occur in America, with Bernie Sanders, as well as Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, being two examples that are presented in the film.

The New Yorker article, doesn’t share any context of how socialist movements in the 1930’s and before in America, have brought forth the middle class, as well as the MUCH better workplace, and wage standards, that many Americans take for granted today, were fought toward for decades.

Here is their VERY plain observation about how Moores message is simplistic, which I disagree with and US history does also,

“All that is required for the dislodging of the status quo is a natural gush of political complaint, or so the movie would have us believe. What it neglects to mention is that, in the 2016 election, Michigan went for Trump, who was also backed by a startling 68.5 per cent of West Virginian voters. The gushers had ideas of their own.”

“But the film will neither change minds nor soothe embittered hearts, I fear, and an opportunity has been missed. Flint is to Moore as Baltimore is to Barry Levinson or Brooklyn to Spike Lee, and I can’t help wishing that Moore, who knows every inch of his home turf, had embedded with a family of Trump loyalists—not to catch them out, as he seeks to do with Snyder, or to stand in awe of them, as he does with the Parkland students, but purely to trace the source of the family’s grievances and the everyday progress of its hopes.

After all, he did much the same with autoworkers in “Roger & Me.” That movie, incidentally, earned praise from an unexpected quarter. “I liked it,” Donald Trump once said, before adding, “I hope he never does one on me.” “

(Source, https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2018/10/01/the-vexing-analogies-of-fahrenheit-11-9?mbid=social_twitter ) .  (1)

What Moore could have done better ,

* Connecting the dots of the Trump family fortune with embezzling wealthy Russians monies like he did with the Bush’s and the Bin Laden’s in Fahrenheit 9 11 .

* Sharing at greater length and detail some of the corrupt practices that the Trump and Snyder families have been involved in .

* Connecting how corporatism works. How it is a merger of the interests of the large corporations with the state. Also Moore could have done a better job looking at how the lack of ethics, within the law, prevents true comprehensive, lasting, reform from occurring in the United States .

* Explored the corruption within the Democratic Party in the theft of the nomination of Bernie Sanders .

I see this film as Mr. Moore targeting an already built in audience of his followers, the tone of the film is NOT to bring new followers to Michael Moores Democratic Socialist message. to mold America into more of the commonwealth that is actually supposed to be .

So this film from Michael Moore Farhenheit 11 9 gets two and one half popcorn kernals out of four.

Mr Kapernick FILE A COMMON LAW JOINT TORT CASE in RELATIONSHIP TO THE VIOLATION TO YOUR SEVENTH (VII) AMENDMENT RIGHTS ~ Socrates Circa Today ~

Colin Kapernicks Seventh (VII th) Amendment Common Law  United States Constitutional Rights are being violated by the National Football League!!

For two years now Colin Kapernick has been either a polarizing figure on the American sports landscape from some of the American peoples, while to other of equal value Americans see Kapernick as a brave leader speaking out against racial injustice toward minorities as well as African Americans.

I see some validity to this. However A MUCH LARGER MORE IMPORTANT ISSUE is being IGNORED by the mainstream media in the United States, which is answering this question, “Which kind of law is the United States Constitutionally under as defined in the United States Constitution?”

There is no mention of penal law, or civil law of Rome in the United States Constitution. The only mention of law in the US Constitution is in the Seventh (VII th) Amendment to the United States Constitution where this is what is stated,

Article [VII] (Amendment 7 – Civil Trials)

In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.”

Here is what the Blacks Law Dictionary the Bible of the law has to say about the common law crime and common law crimes ,

Such crimes as are punishable by the force of the common law, as distinguished from crimes created by statute. Wilkins v. U. S., _ 96 Fed. 837, 37 C. C. A. 588; In re Greene I* (C. C.) 52 Fed. 111. These decisions (and many others) hold that there are no common- law crimes against the United States.

Under the common law the rights in that form of law are ABSOLUTE AT ALL TIMES to ALL PEOPLES THAT HAVE THE SAME LAWS IN COMMON.

Mr. Kapernick is FULLY WITHIN HIS COMMON LAW RIGHTS TO VOICE HIS POLITICAL SPEECH ON ANY POLITICAL TOPIC THAT COMES TO HIS MIND AT WORK, THAT IS THE COMMON LAW AT WORK!!

Americans for DECADES TO OVER TWO CENTURIES HAVE BEEN DENIED THEIR COMMON LAW RIGHTS!! MR. KAPERNICK I humbly encourage you to FILE A COMMON LAW JOINT TORT CASE WHERE TENS OF MILLIONS OF AMERICANS WHO DESIRE TO ETHICALLY CONSTRUCTIVELY DISCUSS POLITICS WITH THE ISSUES OF THE DAY, AT WORK WITH CO WORKERS, AS WELL AS CUSTOMERS TO BE UPHELD IN A COMMON LAW JOINT TORT SEVENTH AMENDMENT (VII TH) AMENDMENT DAMAGES CASE!!!!

WE IN THE United States UNDER THE US CONSTITUTION ARE NOT UNDER THE CIVIL LAW OF ROME, NOR ARE WE UNDER ANY KIND OF CANON NOR PENAL LAW, AS THE ONLY TYPE OF LAW CLEARLY STATED IN THE United States CONSTITUTION IS THE COMMON LAW, WHICH MEANS YOUR RIGHTS, AS AN AMERICAN, ARE ABSOLUTE AT ALL TIMES!!!!

AS CAPTAIN PICARD OF THE USS ENTERPRISE STATES ON Star Trek THE NEXT GENERATION STATES, LETS “MAKE IT SO!!” OUR COMMON LAW RIGHTS AT ALL United States WORKPLACES INCLUDING ALL NFL NBA AS WELL AS MLB , NHL AS WELL AS MINOR LEAGUE PLACES OF PLAY FOR ALL SPORTS AS WELL AS ALL NON PROFESSIONAL AND OR MINOR SPORTS WORKPLACES THROUGHOUT THESE United States !!!!

US Passports being Denied to some people near the US Mexican Border By ~ Socrates Circa Today ~

President Trump has on temporary appointment as Acting ICE Director, Ronald Donato Vitiello who is from Chicago Illinois. Prior to being appointed to be placed as acting ICE Director, Vitiello was the Acting Deputy Comminssioner of the US Customs and Border Protection Department from April of 2017 until June of 2018. He was the Chief of the US Border Patrol under former US President Barak Obama from 2015 through 2016, with a reappointment to that position in 2017 under current President Donald Trump . (1) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Immigration_and_Customs_Enforcement (1) ,

The same midwives who provided fraudulent birth certificates also delivered thousands of babies legally in the United States. It has proved nearly impossible to distinguish between legitimate and illegitimate documents, all of them officially issued by the state of Texas decades ago. (2)

Source,

(2) https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/the_americas/us-is-denying-passports-to-americans-along-the-border-throwing-their-citizenship-into-question/2018/08/29/1d630e84-a0da-11e8-a3dd-2a1991f075d5_story.html?utm_term=.3c2054fa9e83

In its statement, the State Department said that applicants “who have birth certificates filed by a midwife or other birth attendant suspected of having engaged in fraudulent activities, as well as applicants who have both a U.S. and foreign birth certificate, are asked to provide additional documentation establishing they were born in the United States.”

“Individuals who are unable to demonstrate that they were born in the United States are denied issuance of a passport,” the statement said. (2)

When Juan, the former soldier, received a letter from the State Department telling him it wasn’t convinced that he was a U.S. citizen, it requested a range of obscure documents — evidence of his mother’s prenatal care, his baptismal certificate, rental agreements from when he was a baby.
He managed to find some of those documents but weeks later received another denial. In a letter, the government said the information “did not establish your birth in the United States.” (2)

“I thought to myself, you know, I’m going to have to seek legal help,” said Juan, who earns $13 an hour as a prison guard and expects to pay several thousand dollars in legal fees. (2)

In a case last August, a 35-year-old Texas man with a U.S. passport was interrogated while crossing back into Texas from Mexico with his son at the McAllen-Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge, connecting Reynosa, Mexico, to McAllen, Tex.
His passport was taken from him, and Customs and Border Protection agents told him to admit that he was born in Mexico, according to documents later filed in federal court. He refused and was sent to the Los Fresnos Detention Center and entered into deportation proceedings.

My opinion on this which is the legal reality, he is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, Juan is having his rights violated, the ACLU needs to step in and help this man .

He was released three days later, but the government scheduled a deportation hearing for him in 2019. His passport, which had been issued in 2008, was revoked.

Attorneys say these cases, where the government’s doubts about an official birth certificate lead to immigration detention, are increasingly common. “I’ve had probably 20 people who have been sent to the detention center — U.S. citizens,” said Jaime Diez, an attorney in Brownsville.

My perspective on this case, Diez is not a flight threat, he has a job and a good record of not being a criminal, he should have an ankle bracelet tracking his movements, not being placed in a for profit jail. He may be an older “Dreamer” who are not being thrown in jail as children.

Diez represents dozens of U.S. citizens who were denied their passports or had their passports suddenly revoked. Among them are soldiers and Border Patrol agents. In some cases, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have arrived at his clients’ homes without notice and taken passports away.

My perspective on this is the legal reality, No warrant from a judge, with a preponderance of evidence to support that warrant, a further violation of Diezs’ Constitutional Rights . People out there can thank the Constitutionally illegal Patriot Act for that violation of Mr. Diez’s Constitutional rights!!

The State Department says that even though it may deny someone a passport, that does not necessarily mean that the individual will be deported. But it leaves them in a legal limbo, with one arm of the U.S. government claiming they are not an American and the prospect that immigration agents could follow up on their case. (2)

One of the midwives who was accused of providing fraudulent birth certificates in the 1990s admitted in an interview that in two cases, she accepted money to provide fake documents. She said she helped deliver 600 babies in South Texas, many of them now being denied passports. Those birth certificates were issued by the state of Texas, with the midwife’s name listed under “birth attendant.” (2)

One woman who has been denied, named Betty, said she had tried to get a passport to visit her grandfather as he was dying in Mexico. She went to a passport office in Houston, where government officials denied her request and questioned whether she had been born in the United States.

“You’re getting questioned on something so fundamentally you,” said Betty, who spoke on the condition her last name not be used because of concerns about immigration enforcement.

The denials are happening at a time when Trump has been lobbying for stricter federal voter identification rules, which would presumably affect the same people who are now being denied passports — almost all of them Hispanic, living in a heavily Democratic sliver of Texas. (2)

My humble perspective on this important issue, is that these peoples who are suspected of being of parents from another country, should be treated just as the younger Dreamers are treated, based upon the American tradition of being “innocent until proven guilty.”

With many of the evidentiary examples from this article, these people have only known a life, in the United States.

If it is found they are here illegally, a reasonable fine of $5,000 US dollars to be paid out over a ten year period would be a reasonable punishment. If the fine is not paid off within that period of time,  then the person will be deported to their home country.

That would be a reasonable, and not overbearing, or overreaching burden on these older Dreamers.

We in the United States, need to be reasonable, ethical, as well as compassionate ,to the MANY people who have come to America, to seek a better life, in a better governing stability matrix, with the United States being just that.

I have met Dreamers, who are hard working, productive, who pay taxes and contribute to our stellar nation gross domestic product here in the United States. We need to uphold our ethical American values, and have both Republicans, with Democrats work together to build a secure border wall, that President Trump wisely proposes, while completing the bridge, so Dreamers pay a fine over time, and earn their American peopleshoodship !!

Contact your member of the US Congress, as well as President Donald Trump’s office, to propose the fine paid over time so Dreamers may, based upon ethical merits, become American peoples.

Crazy Rich Asians, Mix some drama, family secrets, humor into those Chinese Dumplings!!

~ Film Review

By Socrates Circa Today

The film Crazy Rich Asians based upon the 2013 book of the same name, is a not to miss film if romantic comedy – dramas are your cup of tea, or coffee !!

The storyline focuses on two New York University professors, who are in love, they are Rachel Chu played by Constance Wu and Nick Young portrayed by Henry Golding .

Nick, is the best man, in a wedding of his best friend, Colin Khoo in Singapore. Nick invltes Rachel to the wedding.  Rachels mother Kerry Chu, thinks that Nick may propose to Rachel, as inviting her to a good friends wedding in Chinese culture, usually means an engagement ring is coming.
Rachel finds out, after Nick and her seats on the plane are upgraded to first class , that Nick comes from a “very comfortable” family in relationship to wealth . Nick is an only child who was raised mostly by his grandmother , while his parents continued to build their families property businesses . He tells Rachel about his cousins, film producer Alister Cheng , playboy second cousin Oliver T’sien  and Astrid Leong-Teo, Nick’s famous fashion designer cousin.  Rachel, is assured by Nick, that his mother Eleanor, will like her just fine , even thou they are staying at a hotel, instead of at Nicks parents house. Not a good sign, however Nick washes away, any of Rachels concerns about his parents not approving of Rachel .

Colin, Nicks engaged best friend with his fiancé, Araminta Lee, meet Nick and Rachel at the airport. They have a wonderful time, and Rachel is reassured by Colin and Araminta, that Nick’s mother will LOVE Rachel .

That is what much of this film is about, Rachel overcoming her insecurities, that Nicks mother Eleanor plants into Rachels mind, about being inadequate to marry her son, Nick .

Nick’s friends, especially women friends, that he grew up with, are also jealous of Rachel, that she has won his heart, and not one of them . Later on in the film, one of Nick’s old flames Amanda, pretends to befriend Rachel ,then she stabs her in the back, with her jealousy, attempting to scare Rachel away . Will Amanda, or Nicks mother, succeed in scaring Rachel away, from true love ??!! That is what I found myself asking throughout the film .

The film mostly takes place in Singapore as well as exotic natural locals in Malaysia .

Awkwafina, is the actress who portrays Rachels best friend Goh Peik Lin, from college in California, who lives in Singapore. Her characters personality is funky, irreverent, as well as hilarious !! The most humorous moments in the film come from her character, as well as Ken Jeong portraying Goh Wye Man,  Peik Lins wealthy father.

The casting, pacing, direction, as well as production design, is superb in this film .

The mystery of Nicks family, as well as secrets within Rachels family, secrets Rachel doesn’t even know of arise in the last third of the film, making this a film page turner as you wonder whether these secrets will doom Nick and Rachels future together, or whether it will strengthen their resolve to overcome the secrets, and pursue their futures together .

Critique of “Capital Account A Radical Response to China” By Greg Ip From the Wall Street Journal ~By Socrates Circa Today ~

China has been a member of the World Trade Organization (WTO) since 2001, now almost 20 years on from that joining. The United States has been a member of the WTO since 1995 .

~ The World Trade Organization is an Article I (1) Section 10 Violation of the United States Constitution . Why hasn’t the Supreme Court ruled to bring the United States laws back into Constitutional compliance? ~

Before 1995 the President of the United States with his cabinet as well as the Presidential staff with advice and consultation from Congress negotiated trade deals between the United States and other nations.

A great deal of national sovereignty evaporated the day that the United States joined the World trade Organization during the Clinton Administration .

What does the United States Constitution have to say about the President overseeing trade negotiations and deals?!

It is not surprising to observe that the United States since coming into the World Trade Organization Treaty, the US trade deficit, has increased with China, for ALL of the past 22 plus years , as seen from this information here,

~ I have been to China, in 2011. They are a wise and productive peoples. They are like our individuals and families, through meritocracy striving to improve their station in life. Also they love their country as we Americans do. Help President Donald Trump find a fair trade deal with China!! Write to him and your Congressional Representatives so fair tariffs benefit both the American as well as Chinese peoples . ~

“Since 1995, China has been recording consistent trade surpluses which from 2004 to 2009 has increased 10 times. In 2017, China’s total trade incensed by 14.2 percent as exports grew 10.8 percent and imports rose 18.7 percent.

The biggest trade surpluses were recorded with Hong Kong, the US, the Netherlands, India, the UK, Vietnam, Singapore and Indonesia. China recorded trade deficits with Taiwan, South Korea, Australia, Germany, Brazil and South Africa.

The cost of goods eventually rise with unequal trade deals such as shown from the data referenced above from Trading Economics .com .

From the evidence that I have looked at. The Chinese people have EARNED having a middle class , just as our ancestors in the United States EARNED the middle class through FDR and the Congresses he worked with TO PASS THE NEW DEAL back in the 1930’s.

These facts, stated above, are a logical lie of omission of foundational FACTS that the wise Greg Ip of the Wall Street Journal omitted from his article that I referenced above, A Radical Response to China .

Mr. Ip claims that “President Trump’s universal tariffs risk a Pyrrhic victory that damages global trading rules that have broadly served US Interests.”

C Homeless Americans

~ 70 percent of Americans are no more than 2 paychecks away from being homeless. I have been homeless, for 7 months. DEMAND proper nutrition compliance for basic health nutrition for ALL HOMELESS PERSONS. ~

What does Mr. Ip mean by WTO “global trading rules that have broadly served US Interests.” ??

Helping the Chinese people, stabilize and grow their economy, and uplift hundreds of millions of people out of poverty, is a good ethical advancement of human living standards, as well as collective well being for humanity, as well as US corporate interests being able to profit off of that, but things are WAAAY out of balance here in the United States.

We need to get back to following the United States Constitution, and get back to gold, and silver backed currency

It has been 30 years now, since candy bars were 40 cents USD, now you can’t find a candy bar for less than a dollar. With the actual cost of the dairy and ingredients involved with a candy bar, minus the tax subsidies would be 4 or 5.00 United States Dollars.

Just like the price of a house. My parents divorced in 1987 when I was 6 years old. My dad had some savings from an inheritance and bought a two bedroom one bath house in 1988, for 40,000 USD after closing costs and taxes.

In 2007 the last time that I checked the house was “worth” 150,000 USD .

An increase of 300 percent, which is the same amount that the purchasing power of the dollar has declined since 1988, now 30 years ago .

In the United States we would still have much lower prices, on durable goods, such as cars, and homes, if we had still been under Article I Section 10 US Constitutional money !!

The wise people who read, and are learning from this blogspot of Socrates Circa Today need to organize a letter writing campaign to the US Congress with the US President and DEMAND, the US Congress pass a bill, to take us back over a five year period, BACK ONTO ARTICLE I SECTION 10 US CONSTITUTIONAL CURRENCY SO WE MAY BRING BACK THE MIDDLE CLASS TO THE United States OF AMERICA WHERE YOU COULD OWN YOUR OWN HOME WITH A 30 YEAR MORTGAGE, LIKE WE WERE ABLE TO FROM 1955 TO 1993 OR SO .

SO logically Mr. Greg Ip a very wise intelligent man is wrong, the United States Constitution is NOT a PYRRHIC document, when followed it is the best stability, and peace act created by the minds, and hands of man!!

How about an Article I Section 10 bi partisan AMERICAN PEOPLES MOVEMENT THROUGH OUR REPRESENTITIVES AND US PRESIDENT TO BRING DEMOCRATS WITH REPUBLICIANS TOGETHER.

~Truthseekers~ Reflections and Analysis of Noam Chomsky interview from ‘Z’ Magazine August 2018

From the August 2018 issue, of the left leaning Z Magazine comes an informative, insightful, as well as truthful, interview with renowned linguist and political philosopher Noam Chomsky.

The interview is by CJ Polychroniou who is a political economist / political scientist. He has worked at research centers and universities in the United States. He is a regular contributor to Truth Out as well as a member of Truth Out’s Public Intellectual Project.

He has also had many books published, as well as his articles have appeared in a variety of journals, magazines, newspapers, and popular news websites.

He is an author of Optimism Over Despair: Noam Chomsky On Capitalism, Empire, and Social Change, which is a collection of interviews with Professor Chomsky, originally published at Truthout, and collected by Haymarket Books .

This particular interview with Noam Chomsky from Mr. Polychroniou, focuses at its foundation, on Trump as an actor, with the headline for the Z Magazine cover being three pictures of Trump where he is pointing three different ways in a discussion or a speech , seeking to make a point with the headline “Fascism and Showmanship” .

The first question from the interviewer, deals with the Singapore summit from earlier this year between North Korea’s Kim Jong Un and President Trump.

Chomsky does give Trump credit, for not to

“undermine the prospects for moving forward. Specifically, he did not disrupt the process initiated by the two Koreas in  their historic April 27th Panmunjom Declaration, in which they

affirmed the principle of determining the destiny of the Korean nation on their own accord” (repeat: on their own accord), and for the first time presented a detailed program as to how to proceed.

It is to Trump’s credit that he did not undermine these efforts, and in fact made a move toward facilitating them by cancelling the US-South Korean war games which he correctly said are ‘very provocative.’

We would certainly not tolerate anything of the sort on our borders – or anywhere on the planet even if they were not run by a superpower which not long before had utterly devastated our country with the flimsiest of pretexts after the war was effectively over, glorying in the major war crimes that it had committed, like bombing major dams after there was nothing else to bomb.”

Chomsky goes onto criticize Trump about the Tax bill passed by Trump with the work of Congressional Republicans ,

he exclaims, “A canny politician, Trump surely understands well that the base on which he relies by now almost the entire Republican Party has drifted to a surreal world, in part under his influence.

Take the major Trump – Ryan legislative achievement, the tax scam —“The US Donor Relief Act of 2017,” as Joseph Stiglitz termed it. It had two transparent aims: to enrich the very wealthy and the corporate sector while slamming everyone else, and to create a huge deficit. The latter achievement — as the main architect of the scam Paul Ryan helpfully explained — provides the opportunity to realize the cherished goal of reducing benefits that serve the general population, already very weak by comparative standards, but still an unacceptable infringement, not the prerogatives of the 1 percent.

The congressional Joint Committee on Taxation estitates that the law will add $1 trillion to deficits over the next decade. Virtually every economist generally agrees, But not 80 percent of Republican voters, of whom half believe that the deficit will be reduced by the gift their leader has lavished upon them.”

I disagree with Chomsky on man made climate change, I have researched enough to determine that the sun goes through warming and cooling cycles that then affect the earths temperatures .

However much of Chomskys analysis of Trump from a Marxist perspective critiquing capitalism is spot on. I am not a Marxist yet I have studied Marx , and it is vital to study and critique as well as in some instances agree with Marx in varying areas especially in his logically valid and cogent critique of capitalism . The societal system he proposed simply doesn’t work, but his analysis of what ills capitalism is for the most part spot on.

From a Marxian class struggle perspective Chomsky is one of the best at pointing out with truthful analysis how much the ruling class, the ruling one percent is winning, while the general public is molded by the mainstream corporate funded media to fight over Russia gate claims, or the latest racial incident drummed up to cause hate between the varying racial groupings in America, all with the drumbeat of “how much better the economy is.”

Chomsky continues, “In the US, the richest country in history with unparalleled advantages, over 40 percent of the population don’t earn enough to afford a monthly budget that includes housing, food, child care, health care, transportation and a cellphone. And this is happening in what’s called a “booming economy” .

Chomsky fails to mention Ivanka Trump’s dedicated work to get maternity leave for mothers or fathers with a new born child, something that fits into both the child care as well as healthcare and education aspects of being an individual with a family .

As Socrates Circa Today I seek warmth in the ethical (goodness) with truth, not with ideology . The Trump’s are a family who are ambitious, yet I believe seek fairness with a peaceful world, and that as Americans we have a unique circumstance, as well as a special responsibility to use our voices thanks to the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights to reasonably , logically articulate what we think is the proper path to chart for the ship of the American state .

I would say that most families are this way. An economically stable future, with growth opportunities for career as well as cultural enrichment, spiritual growth and evolution. To create and maintain a stable standard of material living with the stability to explore questions such as “Who am I?” And “Why am I here?”, so you can then journey to achieve your personal destiny. For a family like the Trumps to achieve election by a majority of electors to the Presidency for a member of their family takes much focus, dedication as well as determination .

Yes Mr. Chomsky, but what if the Trumps are actually Eisenhower Republicans, which I believe that they are.

Here is that quote, to the readers here, as well as for the wise Mr. Chomsky to ponder and consider ,

“Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.

This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. It is two electric power plants, each serving a town of 60,000 population.

It is two fine, fully equipped hospitals. It is some 50 miles of concrete highway. We pay for a single fighter plane with a half million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people.

This, I repeat, is the best way of life to be found on the road, the world has been taking.

This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron.”

Dwight Eisenhower

Address “The Chance for Peace” Delivered Before the American Society of Newspaper Editors, 4/16/53

Source , https://www.eisenhower.archives.gov/all_about_ike/quotes.html .

I humbly encourage Mr. Trump to make a speech similar to this , but also with language about the making of war ALWAYS being a LAST resort .

Also he needs to repudiate the Bush Doctrine of preemptive war, unless their is a clear and present danger to the safety and security of the United States . North Korea sadly fits this description with its nuclear program.

However respectfully we most observe that North Korea is a proxy state of China, and China is seeking to protect their society as well as their hard earned interests. How would the United States react if China had a military in a demilitarized zone less than 1,000 miles from the US border?!

This is what China endures from the United States empire which should be a commonwealth republic but that is about parallels with Rome and America and for another time.

Chomsky goes onto say that,

“Productivity has risen through the neoliberal period, even if not as much as before, but wages have stagnated or declined as wealth is funneled to a few bulging pockets. Distress is so severe the among white middle aged Americans,

mortality is actually increasing, something unheard of in functioning societies apart from war or pestilence. There are similar phenomena in Europe under the “business first” (“neoliberal” / “austerity”) assault.”

Chomsky continues to prove his consistent search for truth as he goes on to critique the mainstream media and one of the top newspapers in the United States, The Washington Post, he critiques a good reporter, Glenn Kessler who fact checks for the most part properly, he however missed a foundational piece of evidence in his article “Not the Whole Story”.

This is in reference to North Korea leaving the 2005 US — North Korea agreement in which

“North Korea committed to abandoning all nuclear weapons and existing nuclear programs and returning, at an early date, to the Treaty on the Nonproliferation of Nuclear Weapons and to International Atomic Energy Agency safeguards.”

Kessler points out that the North Koreans did not live up to this agreement.

The reason Chomsky shares that the North Koreans did not live up to this agreement is because the US broke the agreement by renewing

“the threat of force, froze North Korean funds in foreign banks and disbanded the consortium that was to provide North Korea with a light water reactor. Bruce Cumings, the leading US Korea scholar, writes that ‘the sanctions were specifically designed to destroy the September Pledges and to head off an accommodation between Washington and Pyongyang. The whole story is well known to scholarship, but somehow doesn’t reach the public domain.’

Well Mr. Chomsky, sincerely respectfully that is because as wise President Donald Trump says “there is A LOT of fake news out there.” Lots of lies of omission as it is referred to in formal logic.

This could have been an opportunity for Mr. Chomsky to once again find common ground with President Trump. Oh well part of the reason Socrates Circa Today is here is to give people a forum to seek out the truth with many of its warts, but also finding the beauty that truth can maintain in our amazing world.

I am happy that Chomsky goes onto say that, “Every article on the matter (of the 2005 North Korean — US agreement) (from the corporate mainstream media) by the New York Times security and foreign policy experts is the same, as far as I’ve seen.

The practice is so uniform that it is almost unfair to pick out examples.

This reminds me of Chomskys excellent book “Manufacturing Consent” that I read several years ago. That is humbly observationally the corporate media  does, it manufactures consent so the more sinister elements of the top one percent can keep the bottom 90 percent subservient and docile in America.

This docility continues to enslave us to the debt credit system of private for profit central banks.

We could again have a peoples central bank where just enough money for commerce is printed and distributed as was the case during the American colonies pre 1776 which Ben Franklin refers to in his autobiography . But many Americans would have to grow up and admit that they did not learn everything they need to know about life from school or college.

Remember truth is an elusive companion.  Z Magazine is an advertiser free publication, that is why Noam Chomsky is afforded this interview and space in this quality left leaning publication.

I wish more of my wise friends on the left would read and ponder articles from Z Magazine where advertisers are not dictating what can and cannot be included in the publication.

Some Americans reading this blog may be offended by the wording of the next question by the interviewer of Chomsky. However logic which as Spock from Star Trek wisely observed is “separated from emotion” that is how a mature adult MUST observe and interact with the language that follow .

Also the logical reality that the United States is an empire and their are LOTS of nations around the world who are being suppressed from their own sovereignty by the United States we must respect how many peoples are being harmed by the United States empire.

From the interviewer Mr. Polychroniou

“Interestingly enough, while Trump seeks to appease his political doppelgänger in Pyongyang, he has succeeded in alienating most of the US’s major Western allies, including Canada, France, and Germany. Is this the consequence of his alleged foreign policy doctrine “We America, bitch”?

Chomsky then goes onto say that Trump seeks on “reversing anything associated with the despised “Kenyan Muslim” he replaced, also the “satisfying of the usual Republican constituencies primarily the business world and the rich.

Here is some more meat and potatoes with some pineapple for foundational vitamin c from Chomsky ,

“Then comes the task of controlling the so called “populist” base: the angry, frightened, disillusioned white population, primarily males. Since there is no way for Trumism to deal with their economic concerns, which are actually being exacerbated by current policy formation, its necessary to posture heroically as “standing up” for them against “malevolent forces” and to cater to the anti social impulses that tend to surface when people are left to face difficult circumstances alone without institutions and organizations to support them in their struggles. That’s also being done effectively for the time being.

Chomsky goes on to share that,

“attention has to be diverted away from corporate managers who largely shape state supply chains to maximize profit at the expense of working people.

More appropriate targets are desperate people fleeing horrors for which we are largely responsible (from lawmakers who are elected and the corporate managers formally mentioned) “foreigners” who have been “robbing us” with the connivance of “treacherous liberals” and other assorted devils that can be conjured up in periods of social breakdown.”

This is sadly true of politics in America. I have a friend who was an attorney who told me once “Attorneys are some of the most dishonest people I have observed in society. They are NOT trust worthy.”

90 percent of the Congress are lawyers .

Why are there not more physicists, everyday working people, doctors, philosophers in elected office??

This is because the media pre chooses your candidates. I have worked on several independent and self funded political campaigns. It is blackmailed people that are usually prechosen so they can be controlled and managed.

We must strive for a true free press in America. The legalization of industrial hemp to make paper would go a long way toward doing this.

Chomsky shares, “Trump is doing quite well. He has the support of 83 percent of the Republicans, which is without precident apart from rare moments. … “His general support in the low 40’s is not far from the norm, about the same as Obama’s going into his first midterm.”

Even with all of the propaganda being spewed out toward the American populace in relationship to President Trump, it is good to see that Trump is at where Obama was before his first mid term election where ALL of the house,  as well as one third of the US Senate was up for reelection back in 2010.

Chomsky wisely observes,  “The Democrats are now torn between a popular base that is largely social democratic and a New Democrat leadership that panders to the donor class.”

This is SO true. Bernie Sanders a Social Democrat was the TRUE nominee for the Democrats in 2016, not corporate centrist Hillary Clinton.

I have friends who supported Sanders and saw how the superdelegates STOLE AWAY HIS RIGHTFUL NOMINATION FOR THE DEMOCRATS IN 2016.

In order for the Democratic Party to exist as an influential major party the Democrats must make a choice, sincerely adopting to the party platform social democracy binding language as the Democrats did with the Socialist Party platform of Eugene Debs in the 1930’s to answer the Great Depression, where like today the true unemployment rate in America is 20 to 25 percent, and not the 4 to 8 percent that we are told which is a lie, that parties platform was adopted to prevent a socialist revolution in America.

We are right back there again, with inequality of wealth at 1890’s levels, EVEN WORSE than the 1930’s.

Chomsky continues, “The bankruptcy of the Democrat elite is well illustrated by the obsession with alleged Russian meddling with our sacred elections. Whatever it might amount to — apparently very little — it cannot begin to compare with the “meddling” of campaign funding, which largely determines electoral outcomes, as extensive research has shown, particularly the careful work of Thomas Ferguson, which he and his colleagues have now extended to the 2016 elections.”

Of course the mainstream media corporations that are majority foreign owned, are huge beneficiaries of political campaign advertising dollars, and rarely report on campaign finance corruption, which would mean a potential loss of advertising revenues.

Chomsky ends this powerhouse interview of truth with, “if the Democratic Party cannot overcome its internal problems and the slow expansion of the economy under Obama and Trump continues without disruption or disaster, the Republican wrecking ball may be swinging away at the foundations of a decent society, and at the prospects for survival, for a long time.”

I think that is an overreaction to Trump. My argument stands and I believe holds that Donald Trump is an Eisenhower Republican, who ALWAYS desires war as a last resort. I believe that Trump also supports a social safety net, not only to assist poor and middle income Americans, but also to preserve our American Commonwealth Republic. Remember at first before Congress took a hold of his proposed budget, Trumps administration proposed cuts, to the Defense Department budget.

However Chomsky is VERY strong in his critique of the problems facing the Democratic Party currently. Will they look back into their party’s history, and co opt ideas from the  Democratic Socialists such as Bernie Sanders, and the Democratic Socialist Party, or will they ignore their past and become a marginalized party until they do come to the light??!!

Only time, with peoples interactions in party politics, through volunteerism and activism, will show which side of the fork in the road the Democrats will take, will they take the right road, to bloom in the future which is the Social Democratic route??!! Or take the road of drought and despair for their electoral hopes and dreams??!!

Take advantage of this opening fellow Americans, volunteer your time and donate funds to the Democratic Socialists, and tell Democratic leadership to stop denying Democratic Socialists!!

Thanks for joining me!

The goal of this page, humbly is to share the tools of formal logic, with ethical (meaning goodness) dialoging, rhetoric, and learning from me, as well as from you the reader, equally as long as a level of tact , manners and mutual respect is adhered to and followed.

To be able to dialogue in a free society, is a privilege that MANY people on planet Earth are not equipped, with specific rights, as we are in the United States, to be able to share their true ideas, feelings, viewpoints, and perspectives .

This is a place for adult learning, with dialogue, through mutual respect. Being childish, and or vulgar is not an acceptable standard at this blogspot . Agreeing to disagree while still being able to be kindred friends of freedom, as friends, is foundational to making America the commonwealth republic, it was designed to be, through the mature dialoging, of mature adult peoples .

The reason I chose Socrates Circa Today, as my avatar name here, is due to a wise late friend from my past. His name was Ben. I introduced him humbly to the the tools of formal logic, which are the tools to evaluate evidence .  With the tools of logic you can study, and clear out the fallacies, placed with in the law, and evaluate evidence . This forum is a humble tribute to Ben. After I introduced him to logic he decided to study to be a college philosophy professor . He studied all of the prominent philosophers from Asia, Europe, the Mediterranean , as well as America both North and South .

During this time of studying after he had almost completed it, I asked Ben  “What is the most ethical, truthful, philosopher, that you have found, studying their works?”

He replied, “Socrates, as well as Menchius from Asia. Menchius is the Socrates of Asia .”

So this blog site, is a humble tribute to Ben , as well as friendship, even thou many friendships ebb and flow, as mine with Ben did, the excitement of new discoveries of learning, with friends, should be a renewed American tradition, as it was for some in the past . Ben and I experienced this excitement, for new learning, and growth, to humbly find ethics (goodness) with truth .

I look forward to learning from each person, who chooses to follow the standards aforementioned above.

I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.

Socrates quote about questioning

“Our civilization is locked in the grip of an ideology – corporatism. An ideology that denies and undermines the legitimacy of individuals as the citizen in a democracy. The particular imbalance of this ideology leads to a worship of self-interest and a denial of the public good. The practical effects on the individual are passivity and conformism in the areas that matter, and non-conformism in the areas that don’t.”
